Effective study material has become increasingly important in function of student progression due to the influx of:
  • transfer students;
  • shortened tracks;
  • late starters (in February);
  • personal partial study track (PDT) students;
  • working students;
  • students with a special status;
  • students with a disability;
  • etc.
Effective study material is relatively unimportant in function of student progression. All sorts of other factors are decisive for study success:
  • language level / disadvantage / language skills;
  • socio-cultural and socio-economic background;
  • motivation;
  • learning capacities;
  • study choice;
  • etc.

Didactic Basic Requirements and Content

When processing the learning content, students complete several learning activities in their learning process which can be divided into the following four categories:
•    Preparation of the learning process
•    Continuously: motivation and concentration
•    Implementation and regulation of the learning process
•    Assessment of the learning process
In the study material, it is important that lecturers devote attention to these different aspects of the learning process.
